Remedial Massage involves assessing the body as a whole and working with the underlying cause & compensatory areas of a condition. May be an effective treatment for various pain, injury, overuse and stress related conditions. A variety of techniques are used to release tight muscles, and to activate weaker & opposing muscles. This may include Deep tissue, Trigger points, Myofascial release, Muscle Energy Technique/PNF, Cupping, Gua Sha, Thermal Therapy, stretching, mobilisation techniques and corrective exercise.

Sports Massage can be effective in treating and preventing injury, improving recovery from training and maintaining greater mobility and flexibility. This massage varies according to personal needs, using a range of remedial, stimulating, and restorative techniques.

Relaxation Massage uses nurturing and soothing strokes, often delivered at a slower pace with lighter pressure. It can be highly effective for stress relief and general wellbeing. It is soothing for the nervous system, beneficial for blood circulation and the function of the lymphatic system.

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage moves continuously over and under the whole body with the use of forearm and hand techniques. Warm coconut oil and the sensual dance like flow of the massage allows the receiver to completely let go and rebalance the body, mind, and spirit. The Hot Stone Massage that I provide is also a form of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. The deeply penetrating heat of the stones can assist in the release of tension, stress, and fatigue. The ultimate relaxation experience!    

PLEASE NOTE: Hot Stone massage is not currently offered via the mobile massage service with an extensive set of hot stones, but I do travel with a few for targeting specific areas. 

Cupping involves the application of specialised plastic, silicon or glass cups to the skin. The air in the cup is released, creating a vacuum effect. The suction draws blood to the muscles and skin, while also opening the pores and encouraging a regulation of the oil glands.  Depending on the application, you can have the effect of a deep massage or a more rejuvenating outcome. Cupping can promote the release of waste products in the blood and stagnation in the body. I do only stationary and sliding dry cupping. without any blood letting (wet cupping). Depending on the level of stagnation, the cups may leave temporary markings ranging in colour and intensity that will naturally clear in a few days to a week. These markings can also decrease in intensity over a number of regular cupping treatments as the body detoxifies.

Reiki is a form of energy healing that can be a beneficial self-healing tool on all levels. Reiki can assist the recipient to connect to their innate intuitive ability, and to overcome mental and emotional blocks. Receiving Reiki can be a very peaceful, relaxing and restorative experience. You can book a stand alone Reiki session, or a session with the added benefits of  Tuning forks to deepen the relaxation and healing response. The two combiine beautifully with a balance of sound and silence for inner reflection.

Pregnancy/ Post natal Massage is a relaxing and therapeutic massage to reduce stress, pain and fatigue. Aims to promote wellbeing for mother and baby, as the body undergoes various changes during pregnancy and recovers on all levels after giving birth. You can book 60, 90 or even 120 minutes if you wish. 

An additional part of your massage treatment can include a body scrub and/ or an Aromatherapy massage blend. The body scrub is great for exfoliation, increase of circulation & deep moisturisation. This treatment leaves the skin incredibly soft and smooth. Only natural, organic ingredients & nourishing oils are used. This can either be a pre or post massage treatment. Sound Healing is a vibrational form of energy medicine, intentionally working to restore balance in the physical and energy bodies. Sound is utilised to reach an ideal Alpha/Theta brain wave state where the body naturally restores, heals, processes and releases emotions, receives new insights and creative inspiration. Various releasing and restoring   techniques are used to reastablish balance and wellbeing. Instruments are used off and on the body where appropriate. Tuning Forks, Tibetan Singing bowls, Sansula, Harmony ball and shakers, voice and breath work, and aspects of personal coaching may be utilised in the sessions. Home play (homework) and recommendations are also given to enhance the effects. Elements of Sound Healing is also incorporated with Massage treatments in the Tuning Forks services.
